Disability Culture Writing Workshop

  • The Commons at Spooner Hall (map)

Presented in connection with KU Common Book Programming, this generative writing and co-creation workshop is a space for exploring and making connections with social justice discourses. We will begin by reading and discussing poems by writers included in Disability Visibility. Then, we will create together, responding to prompts via writing, drawing, or whatever medium you prefer. This workshop is disability-led, but not exclusive to disability topics or disabled writers. You need not have read Disability Visibility to attend this event. This workshop will be facilitated by Megan Kaminski (Department of English) and L Favicchia.

Join us for a disability culture-centered writing workshop open to students, faculty, and staff.
